Why You Should Never Date a Flight Attendant

A word of caution from 34,000 feet and beyond

The allure of dating a flight attendant has often been promoted as a sexy, dream come true.

The sexy uniform, exciting travel opportunities, and apparent lavish lifestyle appeals to all kinds of people.

The sexy flight attendant stereotypes are there for a reason. Yet, there are good reasons why dating a flight attendant is not realistic:

1. Long duty days at 30,000+ feet, jet lag, and messed up time zones affect our system so much most of us prefer to be sleeping when we aren’t stuck in the air in a metal tube.

Most would-be suitors eventually learn a flight attendant would rather be in dream land than out on a date with them.

I have learned my favorite thing to do when I’m not working is to sleep. Sex is great, but sleep always comes first.

This is so unsexy, for those who believe dating a flight attendant would be a sex-crazed dream come true. The truth is we prioritize our sleep above anything and anyone. It is the only way to survive a career that takes a huge toll on our bodies and circadian rhythm.
